Pier 5 Hotel Baltimore offers a picturesque location on Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Views across the harbor are beautiful. Our room had double sliding glass doors opening onto a narrow balcony that looked across water to the Baltimore Aquarium and overlooked the aquarium's new wetlands demonstration area. The property itself, especially the interiors, look the worse for wear and convey a picture of a hotel whose prime has come and gone. However, our room was clean and had comfortable beds, couch and armchairs. The bar area is where we felt a lack of hospitality...no cleaning supplies, no dish detergent or sponges, really no amenities at all in that area. The immediate neighborhood offers few eateries. The overnight parking charge of $30 per night seemed excessive.
