Slow checkin on arrival (23.00hr) Room ok Breakfast - long wait - then moved to alternative dining area where there were no cups, limited food choices and minimal amounts available, non functioning hot drinks machine. Despite having paid for breakfast we ended up eating out as we were so hungry. Staffing was very minimal - those who were there were polite and as helpful as they could be but evidently very stressed and frustrated.

FIX YOUR DAMN KEY CARDS - HORRIBLE!
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years. It's just fine with one horrible exception. The key cards DO NOT WORK! On this trip, they put me a very long walk from the elevators, not a problem. but, in three days, I went thru 9 key cards. I kept them away from my phone, etc. They JUST DO NOT WORK! Front desk admitted on going continuous problems. Really IRRITATING! They ought to comp rooms. I did not even get an apology. This totally sucks and unless they fix it, I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! it's their encoders, FIX IT DAMMIT! Otherwise, decent home, nice stay, nice staff.

In general it looked okay. Everything was relatively clean and tidy. The rooms were well decorated although the two oddly sized beds were peculiar I.e too big to be classed as singles, but too small for a couple to be comfortable. The bathroom was okay although the water never seemed to get nice and hot and it had a damp smell every time I went in. The digital key is always useful and I use it whenever I can. But in this hotel, despite checking in online through the app and having a digital key to open the room, I still had to queue at reception to obtain a plastic keycard for my room so that I could use the lifts because they haven’t been upgraded to digital key. So all a bit useless and a waste of time.

Dark rooms
The room was extremely dark making it quite dull and difficult to do any work. It also give for a rather sterile feeling. This is because there are no ceiling lights in the rooms and only 2 dimly lit bedside lights. The room was clean though.

Great family stay
A fabulous welcoming hotel with a low key relaxed feeling made possible by everything running professionally. Small welcome touches like full sized mugs opening windows and a door catch in the room were much appreciated. The location is great, breakfasts wonderful and the staff made us feel really welcome. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Lovely hotel best breakfast
Beautiful hotel and decor when you enter the hotel. Friendly staff and the breakfast selection was excellent, everything you can think of. Aircon in the rooms so you get the perfect temperature. The pillows weren’t the best (very flat) that’s the only negative thou. Shower nice and towels changed daily. Only 1 stop away from King’s Cross on the tube so excellent location. I will be back.
