Victim of Theft on Property!
I stayed two nights at this location in San Antonio for a work conference. While the rooms and property were fine, I had a major issue on my last night—my truck was broken into, and several hundred dollars in items were stolen (none of which were in plain sight).
When I reported it to the staff at 6:30 am, they mentioned this had been happening frequently. If there's a pattern of theft, they should inform guests at check-in, not just rely on parking lot signs. A simple warning like, "Hey, we've had a few break-ins recently. Please take extra precautions" would have made a big difference. I would have parked differently or removed valuables.
While the staff was apologetic, they made no offer to credit my room or do anything to help make it right. This is poor customer service. Although Aloft isn't directly responsible for the theft, they failed to take preventive measures or offer a meaningful resolution after the fact. I’m out thousands of dollars in damages, and it’s safe to say I won’t stay here again. Thanks a lot, Aloft!
