Poorly managed hotel
The initial room I was given had a number of black stains on the carpet and the desk had quite major cracks on it. The room looked ‘tired’ and needing refurbishment. Regarding service at the front desk, at least 2 receptionists need training on efficiency and courtesy. There was only 1 guest at the front desk being attended to by a receptionist while I stood there waiting to be helped but no one bothered to acknowledge my presence and even to say, they’ll be with me in a few minutes. Instead, the other receptionist just continued tidying her papers, just as she later admitted. It was a complete disregard of guests. At the 7 corners restaurant, tables were not adequately cleaned for new diners, this was so at least thrice during my stay. One evening, there was no hot water available and when I called to inquire about what was going on, I was told that repairs were done, hence the heater had to be shut off. The issue was, guests were never informed that this would be the case. I was also told that hot water would be available in an hour but 2 hours later, it still wasn’t available. If the hotel continues this way and with the number of much organised and better managed hotels in Metro Manila, potential guests will go elsewhere for a better experience.
