Hotel was fine if you just needed a bed. Place is super in need of a renovation. Outside pretty shabby. Rooms outdated. Bathroom worst lighting and shower clean but waited to shower at home.

We wouldn’t stay here again - the stairs/balcony walkway seemed unsafe, and the room wasn’t in good condition. The smoke alarm started beeping at 4AM (low battery?), but it was strapped to the ceiling, so just got lucky it stopped after a bit.

Please keep in mind this is a BUDGET hotel, the price reflects as such, don’t come here expecting 5 star accommodation and service. This hotel was perfect for my stay, as I came with a couple of friends with the sole intention of hiking as many miles a day as we could. We got the bunk bed room - no sharing beds required! The AC, mini fridge, and microwave all work. The room was clean and bed was comfortable enough, check in was easy and friendly, and they have $5 vouchers to the beach that’s about 1 block away instead of paying the standard $30 / person. If you’re coming to Tahoe to experience the outdoors and only go in the room to sleep - I recommend this for you. As said previously, adjust your expectations ahead of time as this is a budget hotel, and I think you’ll be quite pleased with your stay.

!!!!!STAY AWAY!!!!! I never write reviews about my hotel stays, but this was by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD AT A MOTEL. First off, rooms are not as advertised. I booked a room for 6 adults. I was given a dirty room with hair, blood stains and bugs on the sheets. The floors were not vacuumed with trash on the floor, and old broken furniture. This is far from an inn, it’s an old Super 8 Motel where all they did was change the name. We paid close to $400 for the night to sleep in filth :( I immediately advised the front desk personnel about the horrendous room situation, she changed us to another room that was equally dirty. We asked her if we could get a refund and we would gladly go elsewhere and she said that she couldn’t authorize it that I had to contact Expedia. I did contact Expedia about the situation and they tried calling management, but they didn’t answer. Expedia left them an email, and they denied the refund!! 😡 Also beware their bunk beds in the Deluxe Room to sleep 6 are not suitable for adults to sleep on. They are meant for small kids. The metal frame was wobbly and the top bunk looked like it was about to fall. When we told the front lady about the issue she was already upset and rude and told us the best she can do was to offer us the dirty room we initially had been given and that we should be grateful that she is not charging us extra. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND STAY ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!

i like how walkable it is to the lake. the place is not at all too bad. there are flies in the bathroom and it looked like someone may have used the bathroom before we checked in. there is an open little bottle of shampoo or body gel and a bar soap in the shower area. the towels are not white at all and old. it is a convenient place to stay for an overnight not for a long stay. there are people partying in another unit and people come in and out and it was so loud. definitely not a place to relax. it’s also not a 24 hour front desk. check in was okay.

Our hotel was dirty, hair on the floor. The floor was not swept or mopped. Our shower had half used. Mini shampoo and conditioner bottles. The beds pillows had no covers on them. The bed sheets had visible stains. The worst part was that, 1 of the 2 rooms didn’t have the ac working and the second room didn’t have the kitchen like how it was advertised. Awful place to stay. Will not be returning. They also had a pet fee that was not advertised on the Expedia app.

DIRTY. OUTDATED.
We arrived to check-in and the front desk stated to give her five mins to check if the room was ready. Thirty minutes go by, the room was not ready so my wife went upstairs to where our room was to be and talked with the front desk. My wife stated she had to tell her to change the sheets because the new ones they were putting on were dirty. So they did. We waited and waited until we decided to go to the front desk area again. Not only was she helping other customers, she failed to communicate for us to return so she can check us in formally. We were already past 45 mins of our allotted check in time and we had cranky kids. Not only that, it took time away from us being able to enjoy our family getaway. The room was dirty. It smelled funny and we paid $400 for one night with a $75 deposit. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Everything needs updating. The bathrooms. The microwave. The coffee maker. The hotel is deflected!
