Check-In and Check-Out
The check-in process was disappointingly time-consuming, taking about an hour. This lengthy wait somewhat dampened our initial excitement. Upon departure, we encountered significant traffic congestion when returning to the city center, which was an unexpected inconvenience.
Staff and Service
On a positive note, most of the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere throughout our stay.
Dining Experiences
The dinner buffet was a letdown. Despite offering a wide array of cuisines, the quality of food was subpar. The sushi, in particular, was notably poor. Conversely, the breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise. It boasted an impressive variety of high-quality options. However, the breakfast area was extremely crowded, which slightly detracted from the experience.
Facilities
The hotel's amenities were a highlight of our stay. We were very impressed with the swimming pool and fitness center, which met the high standards expected of a luxury resort.
Overall Impression
While Atlantis, The Palm offers luxurious facilities and mostly friendly service, issues with dining quality and check-in efficiency somewhat marred our experience. The contrast between the disappointing dinner buffet and the excellent breakfast buffet was particularly striking. Despite these inconsistencies, the hotel's impressive amenities largely lived up to its reputation as a premier resort destination in Dubai.
