First of, balcony doesn't mean balcony to hang out on. Alot of rooms have a "french balcony". We missed that and got a bad start of our visit.
We got the app that u need to find your way around the place, had to click away a pop-up that was telling us to vote for an "environmental award". Let's talk about that;
A sign in the room says u need to safe water by not clean towels every day. Well, cleaner changes them every day, and the towel policy by the pool/beach made u use 2-3/towels a day, because u can't reuse towels in different pool areas. Next - this is not a place for walking, it is a place to talk fossile fuel shuttles. The main lobby is 300 m from main exit - put no walking path, u need to take the road that is 1.5km. Please promote walking; it is not environmental friendly to take shuttle 600m to the beach. And if u walk, prepare to aknowledge your room number to every safetyguard at the hotel, almost felt like a prison.
Other: Breakfast made the job but is not something u expect at a place that compete to be one of the best hotels on the island. Half the place is also shut down, so expect half of the restaurants and pools to be unavailable; I found out that is due to new regulations on Boracay, but the hotels should be more clear on what is open/close. The biggest flaw with this was that there was no food options at the infinity pool/beach area, u had to leave the place to eat lunch, that was a big let down.
What was good? The pools, beach, room, staff, views.
