Our stay at Cala Martina was lovely, for what we paid we didn’t expect 5* and I think that’s what people expect sometimes!
Our room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely garden area with 2 sun loungers and a table with chairs, the bed was made everyday apart from when the hippy market was on. The only niggle we had about our room was that the hot water tank was buzzing all night and was pretty annoying but that was our only complaint with the room, it had everything we needed for our stay! We arrived during the day and struggled to find our room as the complex is huge haha! So if you arrive at night it will probably be a struggle to find your room but I’m sure someone would help all the staff were friendly.
The pool didn’t open until 10am which we thought was really strange, we’ve never experienced having to wait for the pool to open! Would be better if it opened earlier. There was plenty of sunbeds, beautiful view, the pool was very warm but it’s not the hotels fault, just due to the very hot weather!
Food was ok, we weren’t expecting 5*, it was average and did us for our stay but we like to eat out on an evening anyway so just had breakfast and used the pool snack bar. Breakfast was quite repetitive but had ok choice, they didn’t do croissants for our last couple of days so limited you to just cooked breakfast which was a shame, and the milk for cereal was warm so didn’t really want to have cereal!
