My husband's birthday was noted from his passport, and the kitchen staff (notably Amparo) surprised us at breakfast with an Uruguayan delicacy bearing a candle! "Happy Birthday" played. We feared the pedestrian street below our windows would be noisy, but only one night was loud. The sunlight in the room was amazing. We walked to everything: museums, galleries, monuments. Very centric! Many good restaurants nearby, and a supermarket across the street. No beach, but we're from Puerto Rico and we didn't come to swim in April.
