I will try and keep this positive, the hotel is nice, slightly dated but clean and well located, the staff do not speak fluent English but were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but very nice
The issue was the room, I was allocated room 101, this is behind the reception on the ground floor, it did not have the as hotels.com t&C's air conditioning or a room safe, but the room was clean functional and quite modern.
The problem came later as I found the room had the kitchen one side, the reception the other and a washer dryer room on the other side. the room had zero sound proofing. from 5am I had the kitchen starting up and the walls were so thin I could hear them talking, the same from 6am the washer dryer started up, there was actually an open vent into the room.
I stayed 4 nights but on the 4th night there was a Halloween party that went on until 12 and then was cleaned up overnight, I got no sleep and asked for a room change, they refused point blank and would not refund the fee. Hotels.com did refund me, thank you, but the hotel I feel did not meet their obligation. This is a pity as the hotel had a lot to offer but failed to recognize the basic right to offer and give a reasonable nights sleep
If you intend to stay here, please check the room before paying and steer clear of the ground floor don't except room 101
