Check in was posted for 4.00pm strictly, but no one was there. I phoned and the answer was, "On my way." Dropped off by car at 4.10, the clerk did not make eye contact, greet or acknowledge me in any way, just unlocked and entered. Her first words were to complain about how slow her computer was.
The go-kart track was immediately outside my room's window. In season, I imagine that's a nightmare of noise and smell, but it was quiet this off-season weekend.
Bed was comfy, everything in the kitchenette worked. Extra bed was a futon.
Thin walls: I could hear my neighbors conversation and tv clearly.
Bathroom pocket door was fully inside the wall and I couldn't pull it out, so the door stayed open all weekend (pic).
Shower sill needs cleaning, repair and repaint (pic).
Some kind of waste - sawdust, or insect debris - dropped onto the shower floor from behind a loose molding (pic).
I have no idea why this place is called a boutique, it's just an average, worn down, under maintained beach motel. Definitely not worth the price.
