Death by 1000 paper cuts
Plunge has so much potential and it COULD be a great resort, but it is suffering death by a thousand paper-cuts instead.
1. I did not pay attention to the reviews about a rude front staff. but wow, the male staff at the front are incredibly unhelpful and rude.
2. You cannot check in before 4pm. dont even try.
3. The bicycles that you pay to use (resort fees) can only be used by those 18 and above, so our 16 year old couldn't use them. No exceptions.
4. Although advertised as family friendly, it is geared toward adults. The pool bar is loud and lively and lots of drinking going on.
5. When you check in, there are only 2 bath towels provided. We had to constantly call the front desk and ask for more towels. They also provide super small body wash and shampoo, so either ask for more upfront, or bring your own shower stuff.
6. They did not clean the room (even though they said they clean daily). When the housekeeping staff finally showed up, it was at 5:15pm, and we had just come in from the beach and were all showering for dinner.
7. Pay attention to where the room is when you book or you'll end up across the street in the main tower, across the street from the beach.
8. The air conditioner is just a wall unit so it's either freezing cold or sticky because of the humidity. it's not very comfortable
9. the service stops at 3pm on the beach.
10. Plunge does have tons of beach chairs, (only a few umbrellas) but they are always taken.
