Staff very friendly
We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were amazing very friendly and always helpful. The only negative was the bathroom was cold as the heated towel rail was not working and that was the only heat source in the room. It was January but did not spoil the trip.

Nice clean room and warm too - excellent heating! Food was good too and the staff friendly. Had I known I should have booked a ground floor room. Outlook across the river Dee from the restaurant was wonderful and would be fantastic in the summer.

Wonderful hotel & restaurant
A really lovely room, it appears to be new. The shower room was amazing, great shower and the tiles looked really nice. The floor of the bedroom wasn’t clean on arrival but when I asked about it they dealt with it quickly. All staff were very friendly and the service was great in the restaurant. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious and great value. We were given £20 vouchers due to our tv not working during our stay which was a kind gesture. The parking is included and so convenient. The hotel situation in Chester is perfect for just a short stroll into the shops. My husband and I both loved our stay here and we plan to return next summer. Thank you so much.

Great location
Check in was quick and easy, on checking in we were told that TV was not working in the room and given voucher off the price to spend in the bar. The room was average size, with everything you need for a couple of nights stay, but we had an issue with the lights not switching off reason being the dimmer switch button was missing the only way to switch off the lights was by removing the key card which meant the room was in darkness. We reported the issue to the guy on check in who was very helpful and gave us 2 touch lamps for the room, due to the hotel being full changing room was not an option. Staff were friendly and helpful and the issue was out of their control. The hotel and restaurant were in perfect location and very nicely decorated. The issue with no TV and light problem is the only reason gave average rating.

Our stay at the boat house
Came for the Xmas market .the boat house had a fantastic position right on the rivers edge saw the boats out at night training was great. Staff and food at the pub were great.Unfortunately the TV was not working for our 3 day stay but we’re given £10 per person voucher towards our evening meal.This did offer some compensation for not having a TV would definitely return .
