I was in town for a show at the Forum, so I just wanted a cheap bed for the night - I later read some online negative reviews, but my stay was fine.
The building is in need of some general refurbishment, but my room was perfectly clean and comfortable and perfect for an overnight stay.
I suggest that the hotel offers better clarity of the breakfast option, as it differed depending on the website I was reading!
When I returned from my evening out I was daunted to see that a small nightclub next to the hotel had a lot of students around and was mindful of complaints I'd read about late-night noise, but the night was cool enough to have the window closed and I heard no noises from outside - indeed, the guest in the next room was more noisy moving around his/her room quite late, with creaky floorboards.
I was situated up three flights of stairs, so that may be a problem for some guests and I would advise checking with the hotel if such a climb is an issue.
At check-in I was told that WiFi passwords were available in the room, but that wasn't the case (I did hunt!), so, again, a recommendation for the hotel to check. I wasn't there to surf the internet and it wasn't an issue for me, but if it's advertised then it should be there!
Small criticisms, I was perfectly happy with my stay - it's a great location to see the sights of Bath, as well.
