Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark near Pattaya is larger and more spectacular than anything of its kind in Thailand. It has 30 state-of-the-art water rides and slides and other attractions including Disneyworld-style mascots, entertainment shows, a food court with many regional food types and all-round aquatic fun for the whole family. The park is logically split into sections catering to smaller children and teens and fully-grown children with families of their own.

Ramayana Water Park is a vast aquatic playground located in beautiful natural surroundings and joins the rapidly growing number of attractions in the Silverlake area, south of Pattaya. With 50 slides and attractions in a 184,000-square-metre area, it's easily among the biggest of its kind in Thailand.

A small lagoon with a selection of spray toys is good for the youngsters, particularly as the pool is covered to protect their skin from the sun. Skin and eyes of all ages are protected from harsh chemicals by the fact that there aren’t any in use. The pools all use fresh, clean water drawn from on-site wells, which is thoroughly cleaned with a state-of-the-art filtration system, meaning that it is actually theoretically drinkable (we don't suggest testing it, though!).

Vana Nava is one of Thailand’s best water parks, offering thrilling rides and a full range of facilities, just a short ride south of Hua Hin Town. There are 19 rides in total, each of which is professionally assembled, with plenty of fast-food restaurants and shopping options to make this a great day out for the whole family. In fact, Vana Nava draws in plenty of people from Bangkok and even further afield as the rides here are on a different level to anything else currently offered in the capital.

Safety is taken very seriously here, with marshals supervising each ride to make sure everyone is having fun and using the rides correctly.

Fantasia Lagoon is a relatively large and attractive water park built on the roof of The Mall Bangkae. It's very near Bangkok, compared to the famous Dream World or Siam Amazing Park. Despite being opened for many years, the park is surprisingly unknown to tourists and only Thai locals come and play here in any great numbers.

Fantasia Lagoon has been refurbished to keep it fresh and is a fun place for kids and young adults to spend a day, with huge pools and decent size sliders. You also have the entire mall to play with, including a very attractive games and entertainment zone located right below the water park. It's one of the most budget-friendly water parks in Thailand, too.

Splash Jungle Water Park on Phuket's Mai Khao Beach is unrivalled in southern Thailand when it comes to wet and wild thrills. A great day out, particularly for children, it's home to 12 water slides, rides and attractions, with professional lifeguards on standby to make sure that you have fun and safe time. Located close by Phuket International Airport, guests of the Splash Beach Resort get to enjoy all of the fun in the sun for free. The ticket prices for outside guests are not too high, meaning that everyone can enjoy the fast-paced thrills and the more easy-going attractions, as well as great food and drinks in the first-class facilities.

There is enough to see and do at Siam Amazing Park in Bangkok to spend an entire day here. There's a large area dedicated to a water park with exhilarating slides and a separate amusement park with some fantastic rides for both small and big kids. Just don’t visit expecting Disneyland or other international-standard parks you may have visited before. Although adults may struggle for entertainment, kids are sure to enjoy a day out here, and with a great value entry price and cheap food options available, it’s a fantastic treat for the kids on a family day out.

Black Mountain Water Park offers a fun-filled day for families and anyone needing a big splash. The park features 9 different water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, beach pool, kids’ pool, and more – all set on a vast, mountain-hugged landscape fronting a man-made lake just 10 km north of Hua Hin. The water park is owned and managed by the same people behind the Black Mountain Golf Course. It’s located opposite the course, on a local road that passes through Wat Huay Mongkol and Baan Silapin.

Scenical World Khao Yai is the largest theme and water park in the northeast region of Thailand. Located in the splendid mountainous area some 150 km northeast of Bangkok, Scenical World hosts a great choice of 15 water slides and pools. These include the Space Bowl, the Thunder Bolt, the Splash Coaster, and the Kiddie Slide, all of which offer adults and children some fun splashing in the water. Safety rules are second to none and include the fact that all children below 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Pink Elephant Samui Water Park is a spacious, modern attraction near Maenam on Koh Samui. It features a range of high-quality rides and facilities, promising a fun and safe day for the whole family. Geared mostly towards young children and their parents, there are a few high-speed slides for the adventurous ones and a Jacuzzi area for those who want to chill out and relax, among much more, all in a well-designed park conveniently located a short distance from the main Samui ring road.
