9 Best Places to Go Shopping in Ho Chi Minh City

Ben Thanh Market is fun at any time of day and well into the night. Ho Chi Minh City’s central market is a must-see when visiting Vietnam’s largest and most boisterous city. Early mornings see locals shopping for fresh produce before fashion stalls take centre stage throughout the day. You can also find rows of coffee traders, selling a dizzying array of beans. 

Come nightfall, a night market sets up alongside Ben Thanh Market's main hall, selling clothing, apparel and souvenirs until midnight, along with interesting pop-up street food stalls.

Once you’ve finished shopping, there are multiple dining and entertainment venues to enjoy. Family-friendly activities within Diamond Plaza include a bowling alley and a cinema.

An Dong Market is an indoor market that offers a wide range of goods at wholesale prices. On the top floor are many crafts stalls, making this one of the best places in Ho Chi Minh to buy handicrafts from skilled artisans who practice Vietnam’s proud heritage in lacquer and woodwork. 

An Dong Market is in District 10, around 10 km southwest of central Ho Chi Minh City. However, it should take no more than 10 minutes to get there by taxi from District 1. 

Parkson Hung Vuong Plaza is an international-standard department store in Ho Chi Minh City. You can find a wide range of cosmetics and perfumes on the ground floor, fashion for men and women on the 2nd and 3rd floors, while homeware and restaurants are on the 4th level.
