Nice place - convenient and quiet. Good for family trip. Hotel breakfast is also very nice. They offer two types of breakfast: traditional Japanese set or Western buffet.

Couples stay for 4 nights
Room was well presented, clean and big enough for a few nights. Staff were friendly and kindly spoke English to us. Lots of disposable amenities available in the lobby.
Near to transport options and close to the centre of town.
Rooms cleaned every few nights with the aim of being eco friendly and was fine with us.
Negative: Like all Japanese hotels we’ve stayed in there is no closet or places to put clothes.

Located in a convenient area for touring the town. The hotel itself was pretty average and perhaps a bit dated. We tried both the Japanese breakfast and the Western breakfast. The Japanese breakfast is definitely the way to go - it was amazing!

Close to public transportation and all the basic needs are there with clean environment. Nothing to complaint except for rude noisy Chinese guests screaming at hallway. Wish I was in a different floor far away from them.

I got a great deal. Reviews without considering price are silly. A great hotel at $70 could be a crap hotel at $200. Breakfast was good and reasonable as well.

Golden Nugget of a Hotel
The hotel is well situated in the downtown area of Kyoto, close to Nishiki market and plenty of shopping and food options. Our room was a nice size with a comfortable bed. The only complaint about the room was the lack of 100V outlets.
I've stayed in many hotels in the country and know this is not always provided, so I'm not faulting the hotel too much for this. The breakfast was one of the best in all the hotels we stayed at during the trip throughout the country. The amenities were also generous.
The reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were even able to buy a day pass for the buses and metros at the front desk. A wonderful stay overall.
