The Coldest and Smallest Hotel I’ve Ever Stayed At
I was excited to stay at this newly opened hotel, but it turned out to be quite disappointing.
I booked a connecting room for my family of four, so we had two rooms, but they were so small that there was barely any space to open our suitcases.
The bathroom had a bathtub, but it was so tiny that even an adult would struggle to crouch inside. There wasn’t even enough space for a small trash bin, so we kept tripping over things whenever we used the bathroom.
The biggest issue was how cold the hotel hallways were. Without a coat, it was impossible to walk around, and it seemed like there was no heating in the corridors at all.
I was looking forward to the public bath, but the area in front of it was even colder, making it the perfect place to catch a cold after bathing.
The bath itself was not bad, but there were no towels provided. Guests had to bring their own from their rooms and carry them back after use. However, since the rooms were so small, there was no space to put the used towels.
The biggest problem was that the public bath was freezing. Even in the middle of winter, cold air—almost like air conditioning—was blowing from the ventilation above the shower area, making it very uncomfortable. It was impossible to shower unless you stayed inside the hot bath. The dressing room was just as cold.
Not all, but some reception staff were surprisingly unfriendly, which is quite unusual for Japan.
