My stay at Ryogoku View Hotel was disappointing due to blatant false advertising and uncomfortable conditions. Despite booking based on promises of air conditioning, the room only had heating and an air purifier—definitely not air conditioning as advertised. The front desk's suggestion to open the window for ventilation led to noise, bugs, and cigarette smoke from neighboring balconies—violating the supposed non-smoking policy. The hotel’s claim of soundproof rooms was also false; outside noise, especially from the train station, disrupted sleep even with the window closed. Additionally, the room size was much smaller than advertised, contrary to photos showing a spacious layout. Overall, the hotel engaged in misleading advertising, and I would not recommend it to those seeking a comfortable and honest stay. Despite the friendly staff, the false claims and poor room conditions made this an unpleasant experience, especially considering the high cost.
