Parc Astérix is separated into distinct zones dedicated to the Romans, Vikings, Greeks, Egyptians, and Gauls. The theme park’s main draws are its hair-raising rollercoasters that reach speeds of up to 90 km/h. For the kids, there are plenty of shows and experiences, such as quests for a mysterious goblin and chances to meet famous characters from the Astérix comic book series.
If you dare, take a ride on the Oziris, which is the fastest rollercoaster at Parc Astérix and features loops, sidewinders and hairpin turns. Onboard the Goudurix, you can admire the stunning landscapes that surround Parc Astérix before plunging into a loop at speeds of up to 75 km/h. The Tonnerre de Zeus is one of the longest wooden rollercoasters in Europe, reaching an astonishing speed of over 80 km/h.

What else can you do at Parc Astérix?
If you don’t mind getting a little wet, you might like the water rides at Parc Astérix. On the L'Oxygénarium, you’ll ride a spinning inflatable dinghy down a twisting water slide complete with rapids. The Menhir Express is a themed log flume that offers daring riders the chance to take on the 13-metre final drop.
Besides riding thrilling rollercoasters, you can watch live performances and shows that recreate the stories of iconic comic book characters at Parc Astérix. When you need a break, you can relax on artificial landscapes like a beach and a mountain. Stay until the evening to catch the spectacular light and sound show. Good to know about Parc Astérix
Parc Astérix is located to the northeast of Paris and usually takes around 45 minutes to reach by car. There’s a large parking area that provides easy access to this top-rated family attraction. You can also reach Parc Astérix by taking a train from Paris Gare du Nord to Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1. From there, you can ride a shuttle bus operated by the theme park.
Remember that Parc Astérix is a seasonal attraction. It’s usually open from April to November, and the exact dates can change every year. We recommend arriving before 10 am to beat the queues, though Parc Astérix usually remains open until 8 pm on weekdays and 10 pm on weekends. There are a few onsite hotel options if you want to spend a couple of days exploring the amusements and rides.
Ticket prices vary depending on the option you choose. Kids below 3 years old can enter Parc Astérix for free.
