    Beaumaris Castle is a stunning example of concentric fortification and a well-preserved fortress to explore on a tour. The castle was constructed as part of Edward I’s campaign to conquer North Wales in the 13th century, but Parliament garrisoned it, and the castle fell into ruin in the 17th century.
